The
idea for my angels arose during a period in my life
that was filled with sadness. I bought a tiny second-hand
pewter rabbit and kept it on my bedside table. Someone
must have loved it greatly before me because it radiated
love and protection and became my guardian. I did not
understand why this was so, but I was grateful to find
that my tiny companion made me feel safe and loved,
no matter what was happening in my life.
When my life improved again, in a joyous way, I did not forget
how much the tiny pewter rabbit helped me through. I knew I wanted
to share that feeling of love and protection with others, especially
children in the greatest need of our love and protection – and
that was the beginning of Angelcalling.

I have designed these tiny pewter angels to go out on missions of
loving protection. When I send them out to you they have already
been prepared with loving thoughts
from me – all you have to do is fill them with your own loving thoughts
before you give them away to anyone else. Hold your angel tightly in the
palm of your hand and pour into it all the love and joy you feel in your
heart. If
you find this difficult, go back to your childhood and remember what love
meant to you then. Think how much you were willing to give abundantly
of your love and trust, without question. That capacity is still within you,
I promise – look deeply and you will find it.
The angels have been made so that you can see your own reflection
when you look into their faces – because I believe that everyone
is, in his or her true essence, an angel in the making.
Life experiences can make cynics of us all, but it doesn’t
matter if you doubt my words – simply be willing to try and
your angel will work.

Your angel does not have to go to a person. You might want to place it somewhere
that seems, to you, to need some ‘Angel love’. If you visit a
building that seems cold and imposing and needs some love and care, take
an angel, hold it in your hand, and fill it with thoughts of love and joy.
Then quietly place it on a window ledge and leave it there with the certain
knowledge that it will radiate your love into that space.
Be assured, too, that one day it will be found by someone who
needs an angel's help - right at the moment they find it. Don't
worry what will happen to the angel when you leave it - have faith
that it will eventually be found by someone who needs it – even
if it is gathered up with the rubbish when you leave
it behind.
Think of the children in Brazil who spend their lives scavenging
on rubbish tips in an effort to survive. Your angel may be waiting
there patiently, in amongst the rotting, smelling detritus of throwaway
lives... to be found by one of these children. Don't imagine, ‘What
use is an angel to a child living on a rubbish tip?’ If you
fill your angel with honest love, it will be cherished by anyone,
in any circumstance, whose heart connects with it.
You will come to see the truth of this one day, simply by being
willing to try. Sometimes we all forget the power of our love.
A word of caution. Be careful where you place your angel - they
are small items and are not suitable for children under 36 months
of age.
